Perth- Day 7

The start of a new fortnight of school work and with assessments needing to be completed we spent the morning hammering away at this. Near lunchtime we headed off to see the sights of Fremantle. We arrived a bit later than we anticipated we drove to the marina and saw all the big boats and then headed to the park for a picnic lunch.

The kids then played at the park for the next hour and we were able to drag them away to have a look at the Shipwreck gallery which is mainly covers the history of the Batavia. We also watched a DVD on the raising of the Batavia and what they had to do to repair it.

Rosalee and I had been here seven years ago and not much had changed, but it was nice to be reminded of the last time we were here it was with Dad. He had quite enjoyed watching the DVD about how they raised up all the artefacts.

On the way back home we pulled into an op shop for Rosalee to check out, I bought a biography of Gina Reinhart. Still looking for the elusive Man in the Iron Mask and Pride and Prejudice.

Rosalee decided to have a dessert dinner and the kids were very excited as we had a banana ice cream sundae for dinner. Again it was pretty yummo.DSC03498
