Kalbarri

We arrived in Kalbarri to find that the road to natures window and Z bend closed due to the rain that we had last night. I had previously checked the schedule of works on the sealing of the road and it was meant to be complete by yesterday.

We set up camp at Big River Ranch and as you would expect there was horses around. Rosalee was told to be quiet as she was winding the stabilizers down on the van when a horse riding group went by.

Throughout the day it was sunny and breezy so the next day the road was open. It was amazing to see that of the 27 klms out to the loop road they have only sealed about 5 klms, a lot of years to go of road works me think.

We did Natures Window first and enjoyed a leisurely stroll down to the gorge and turned around a corner and there it was a window.
We took some photos but the crowds were tsunami like and you almost needed a ticket system.

We then drove to Z bend and did the walk to the lookout, it was hard to see the Z bend, easier to see a S bend. Still pretty spectacular scenery.

After arriving back at the car we headed back to Big River to pack up and head to our next destination as it was already 12pm.
