It had been almost 6 weeks since we had spent any quality time with the Travelling T’s and as Mrs T had a two week locum in Derby, the stars aligned for us to spend a great 5 days together.

Derby has really big differences in tides, however our arrival coincided with a neap tide, which meant nothing much happened to the tide. Our time in Derby was spent lapping up the Travelling T’s house and in particular their air conditioning, a few net sessions of 101 cricketing with the boys, school sessions at the library and a few pool days.

Dinner at night was a highlight with Mr T cooking up a storm with many magnificent meals.

The kids enjoyed hanging out together and we were fortunate to watch Episode V and VI of Star Wars whilst we were with the Travelling T’s.

We visited the touristy things in Derby: wharf; gaol; boab prison tree; long drinking trough and the pioneer cemetery.
