That was the advice I was given by a travelling couple we met back before Alice Springs, I took his advice and pulled into this rest stop. We set up the shower room for the girls to use the potty and have showers as this site had only a very small covered picnic area. This was our first meeting of stray dogs there were two of them that would go from Caravan to caravan trying to beg for scraps more often than not they appeared successful.

Earlier in the day we stopped in at Tennant Creek and fuelled up again the advice I was given was that it was significant cheaper here than at the three ways, and with the bowser stating 169.99 I thought this was a pretty good deal. The vibe in Tennant Creek was much improved than we expected and there appeared to be a stronger community feel about the place.

We spent the night indoors as it started to rain pretty heavy during the afternoon and all night and pretty soon a lake emerged next to our van. We were right next to a very large windmill and all night long you could hear the sound of the creaking spinning of the windmill.
