Boys day out

The car was booked in for it’s 20,000 klm service, so Elijah and I took the opportunity to have a boys day out in Alice. We started early at 7am to drop the car at Peter Kittle Nissan, after that we headed to McDonalds for a spot of breakfast of pancakes and start doing some school work.

After kicking back doing 2 hours of school work we headed into the library, but it was closed for another 30 minutes so we went to a second hand bookstore and bought some books for Elijah to keep him entertained. The library was next on our agenda where we did some more Naplan testing of 2011 tests and then onto to the hairdressers for a hair cut. Both Elijah and I had made a call that we would go a year without a cut, but after 4 months the heat had taken its toll on us and we wanted to shed our extra hair. A whopping $44 later and we had our hair back to normal, but after not paying for haircuts for 14 years I informed Rosalee that I was buying her some hairdressing scissors so she could do the job next time.

Subway was the choice for our lunch and we walked up to the ARB and bought an air compressor as the cheap one I had bought had died a early death.

Eventually the car was ready and we headed back to the park so that Elijah could catcg up on his favourite TV shows.

Post note: For the last 2 weeks we had noticed carpet being chewed up we eventually decided we had a mouse and I put in a trap the night before the service later that night I checked the car and we had caught the culprit a little mouse had made our car it’s home. It was somewhat a relief that it was a mouse and we had thoughts of all kinds of reptiles that it could have been.
