Playground opposite campsite at Murray Town.
The pack up completed we headed to Gawler to get some fruit and vegies for the next few days, the traffic was absolutely annoying and we had to park on the other side of town so that Rosalee could go to Coles. After this was completed we drove north and stopped at lovely Clare in the Clare Valley for lunch. We parked up a side street and next to a park, the kids and Rosalee had a great time playing on the swings, when we were leaving we drove up the hill to turn around and found that there really was not enough space to turn around! Eventually after moving a few of the locals garbage bins we were able to turn around as we got to the bottom, I noticed the sign say parking, caravans not permitted! LOL!
We drove for another 1 1/2 hours to a small blink and you miss it type town called Murray Town. The camping here was $5 a night and $1 for showers, it was a very quiet place and the locals took very good care of the facilities. The interesting thing about Murray Town is about 9 years ago the Pub closed down, 10 years before that the local shop and petrol station closed, yet the community offer cheap camping for caravaners to stay, but no where to spend their money.
THe playground was opposite our campsite and the kids had a great time, it was funny to see all these weeds growing up quite high through the playground and the tennis court was full of tumbleweeds.
However this was a great place to stay for a couple of nights.
