Well we just finished all our school work for the term and to celebrate we headed to the Historical Smythesdale Museum. Bill the appointed historical custodian for the day showed us through the Court House, Old Stables, and Remand cells that are part of the historical museum. Bill also showed us the old gallows that were in place at Ballarat Gaol, and we listened to the stories of the 13 people that were hanged on these gallows. In an interesting note that an Elijah was hanged and an Elijah was also a hangman he was the one that hanged Ned Kelly.

Now we head off from here and to the beach on the Great Ocean Road.
