As Amelia’s birthday was coming up fast, like tomorrow, we headed to Ballarat for some luxury camping at Windmill Holiday Park. At $78 a night with the Big 4 discount I was expecting it to be a bit of a rip off, however as per normal I was wrong. On arrival the manager or owner Mark was friendly and engaging, he showed us to the site and informed us of all the activities that the kids could do such as a 1 hour kid’s club from 5:30- 6:30pm each night, a movie with piopcorn at 7:30pm and on Saturday morning they had free pancakes.

This was our lucky day as we would normally cook pancakes for everyone’s birthday so we asked Amelia did she want pancakes in the caravan or in the recreation room, Amelia chose the recreational room. We were all winners.

Rosalee needed to go and do some shopping for Amelia’s birthday for presents, and party food, etc.. So we farewelled whilst the rest of us explored the caravan park. The kids enjoyed the jumping pillow and in particular the indoor pool, which was warm enough to swim in.

All in all I would definetly recommend this caravan park, whilst the ammenties were a little run down they were clean, but the atmosphere of the park and the managers/owners made the park a great place to be.
