Like so many other others around Australia, we held an Easter hunt. When we were at Cadbury Factory Tour we bought 10 bags of solid Easter Eggs for 40 cents each of last year eggs. By the time Easter arrived we had 4 left, so Rosalee hid the little chocolates amongst the pine trees of the camp ground. The four eager eyes and mouths took to the hunt, but then Lilianna tripped and fell over a camp tent peg, and the hunt had to be postponed until appropriate First Aid and a Mummy cuddle pacified her. Once more the hunt was on and Amelia the devious middle child staked her claim for greatness and captured the most eggs.
It was all for nought as Mum made them all share the eggs out so that everyone got the same, Mum’s these days! I don’t know.
The real question was who or what ate the other 6 bags, they were the real Easter champion!
All the kids have enjoyed their time at Devonport and they enjoyed endless hours spent playing games on the stage that is built under the big tent for the Tasmanian camp meeting. Whether it is the girls dancing or acting out a scene from their favourite Barbie movie, or Elijah acting out a fight scene from a Star Wars movie, the stage was a big hit for the kids.
