With the car out of action we needed to stay local, as the temperature was expected to be around 32 degrees we decided to hit the local pool.

The pool water was nice and cool after our walk to the pool, but the nice surprise about this pool was the waterslide with 25 rides for $8. As we headed up the slide I told Marcella that she would come down with me, she refused this point blank and was adamant that she would go down the slide by herself. She layed down and pushed off and being the first one to go I looked down with my heart in my mouth waiting to see her little body rolling down the slide, however to my surprise she was sitting upright laughing as she hit the water.

The kids all enjoyed this afternoon outing and Glenorchy pool was the place to be as there was a verbal arguement between two pool patrons about who was the worse mother the one who’s child was morbidly obese or the one who used the F word at the childrens pool, it was embarrasing but also very engaging to watch. Eventually the lifeguards got involved, but obviously they were regarded with little respect and the verbal stoush continued for another hour. I glanced at the safety signs that said Lifeguards would expel any body who engaged in anti social behaviour, and I wondered what they categorized as antisocial in Glenorchy!!

Later that night we went to get dinner and a very intoxicated woman collapsed outside her local watering hole, it was clear that Glenorchy had its fair share of problems.
