Paradise found

The PromArriving at Wilsons Promontory or the “Prom” as the locals call it on a Friday afternoon and setting up camp with every one is a real sense of Victoria. There were the mums and dads with the kids, there were the international tourists, the 30 to 40 year old singles with friends, the romantic weekend away, and the young 20 year old Melbournian university students, this ecletic mix of people all here to sample what the Prom could offer.

After we set up camp we took the kids to the beach and on our way a wombat walked past us, our youngest squealed with delight and proceeded to chase said wombat into the bush, but it was too quick. On arriving at the beach our number three child stated with distinct clarity that we had arrived at Paradise, looking at the beach and the wildlife we had encountered and the stark reality of 3 nights bush camping it was hard to disagree with her.
